DESIGN GRAPHICS 3
DIGITAL RENDERING AND PRESENTATION DRAWINGS
As the final graphics class in the series, DG3 digs deeper into the entire design of the existing built landscape of Tongva Park in Santa Monica, CA, designed by Field Operations, resulting in a digital booklet dedicated to the design of the park. All hand drafted graphics from DG1 and DG2 are cleaned up and colored using Adobe Suite, and additional graphics, media, and descriptive presentation materials are created to better tell the story of Tongva Park’s design development. This academic class taught me how to tell a captivating narrative about a landscape’s design using it’s history, precedents and inspiration, and built materials, along with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. All graphics were drawn by hand on vellum using graphite pencils and black ink pens, then color rendered in Photoshop.
